At least two Israeli were killed while five others were injured when a Palestinian young man tried to run over a bus and cars while driving a digger in occupied Jerusalem on Monday.

The young man was shot dead by an Israeli police officer who was in the area, Maariv newspaper said.

Israeli police said that they received a report in the afternoon that a tractor had apparently hit the pedestrians and then an empty bus before being shot dead.

For his part, leader in Hamas Movement Hossam Badran welcomed the operation that constitutes a natural response to Israeli crimes and massacres against civilians in Gaza Strip, according to his statement.

In his turn, spokesman for the Movement Fawzi Barhoum called for intensifying resistance operations against Israeli occupation throughout the occupied territories.

Meanwhile, a gunman on a motorcycle opened fire Monday at an Israeli policeman near Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

According to the Israeli radio, Israeli forces imposed tight restrictions on the refugee camp looking for the shooter who managed to flee the scene.

Along the same line, a Palestinian car ran over three settlers in occupied Jerusalem, while another settler was stabbed in Tur town in the city.
